Holy smokes, y'all... tomorrow is November! Yowza! If you follow me on Instagram, you know I had a busy week with the Little Ones -- Halloween is so much fun for them I always feel like I'm along for their ride, at least for a couple of days. :) Anyway, I enjoyed sharing a little randomness last Friday, so I'm thinking every so often I'll offer up a Five on Friday post, just for fun. I've been back on my painting and DIY'ing horse this … [Read more...]
Country Living Fair 2014
Y'all. What a beautiful fall weekend we had for the Country Living Fair! It was just a fabulous and fun time all the way around. I had a sweet friend from out of town that joined me and I also got to meet up with local blogging friends and Country Living folks! I tried to snap pics of what was fun and catching my eye... Of course, our first stop was Cari's booth... that's her husband painting a piece with her new line of paints! I … [Read more...]
DIY Go Dawgs Burlap Banner
Well, what do you know? A new DIY project? Say it ain't so... If you've followed this blog long enough, you know that we are a big SEC football household. The hubs played football for Auburn, I was born and raised a Texas Aggie fan, and my daughter is a die-hard Georgia Bulldog. You can imagine what Saturdays in the fall are like for us -- so many games to watch, so many loyalties to be divided at times. But we do love our college … [Read more...]
Neutral Fall Mantel
I'm a little late to the fall mantel party, but I wanted to do one nonetheless; we spent a huge amount of time in our family room when we're home and with the leaves just starting to turn outside my windows I wanted the mantel to reflect the change of season too. This year I wanted it to be neutral with lots of texture and I think I'm there... Sorry if the photos are a little dark; we had massive storms that blew through yesterday … [Read more...]
In Case You Missed It {September}
Well, shoot, if you blinked you missed September! Or so it seemed... I had a really busy month, but was a little light on posts around here. I hope you don't mind; I have a couple more crazy weeks and then a bit of a lull for a few weeks, so I'm planning to get some major projects around my house wrapped up. Woo hoo! But here's what I DID share during September, just in case you missed it... My Director's Office makeover Feed a Crowd Taco … [Read more...]
Easy Harvest Centerpiece
Well, while spending most of the weekend on and off the couch, I managed to photograph my simple harvest centerpiece to share with y'all. In the nick of time for this rapidly approaching Thanksgiving holiday! We spend every Thanksgiving at my mother-in-law's, so I don't do a big tablescape in my home. But these sweet pheasants were beckoning this year, so I decided a simple kitchen table centerpiece was in order. :) I used things I … [Read more...]
Thanksgiving Table Inspiration
Howdy-hoo, y'all... SO thankful that I made it to the end of the week! I got major fun stuff happening this weekend, so I hope I can muster up the energy to be fully in each moment! After confessing my desire to create a harvest tablescape, thanks to my new feathered friends, I decided to gather up some inspiration. I don't do a lot of tablescapes, so it was fun to see what was catching my eye on the old world wide web. :) Enjoy the eye … [Read more...]
In Case You Missed It {October}
Holy Cow. October flew by in a hurry, didn't it? My pause did not last nearly as long as I'd hoped, but I'm thankful there was a bit of one in there. Here we are in November and the slide into the holidays is on its way! I think I'm actually ready to get some Christmas crafting going soon... is that scary or what? ;-) Unfortunately when I look at our calendar for the month, I'm not seeing much time to spare! Guess I'll have to get clever, … [Read more...]
My Fall Front Porch (Finally!)
Hello, friends! It's practically Halloween and I haven't shared my porch yet! Actually, I'm not a Halloween girl... so the most that might get added to this would be a fuzzy felt spider and a plug-in jack o'lantern. My peeps are no longer interested in carving pumpkins... in fact, they'll all be "hanging out" with friends and not trick-or-treating tomorrow night. The hubs will be out as well, so it looks like me, my bowl of candy, and my … [Read more...]
