2020 Vision

Happy New Year, friends and readers! I hope you all enjoyed the holidays and are entering this new year — and decade — with a clear vision and focus on your goals! I spent some time mulling over my Word of the Year, considering last year’s WOTY and how it applied, and thinking through some goals I’d like to articulate.

Truth be told, progress on all of that was a little stilted due to some unexpected family things, so I’m still ruminating on all of that before I put it boldly here. 🙂 But one thing did crystalize for me — it’s time to write again. I mean REALLY write again. And I couldn’t be happier about that.

Good news: I think that means more content here and possibly elsewhere if I can put my nose to the grindstone in this area.

Reality: I have a LOT on my plate with relocating our precious Legacy this summer and all that goes into that. Plus the aforementioned family things.

In short: Establishing a solid routine will be key. So just know I’m working on what that looks like!

In the meantime, I wanted to share a few things catching my eye and my fancy these days! I created a new hashtag in my Instastories — #whatcaughtheidiseye — as a way of sharing those with you. So if you don’t already follow me on Instagram, now’s the time! There’s a highlight in my profile for them as well. 🙂 How about a sneak peek?

Little Women… have you seen it?? What a delightful, insightful, inspiring re-telling of an old favorite of mine! Highly recommend! And I couldn’t get over this sweet watercolor by @emmablockillustration of the March sisters. You all know what a sucker for watercolors I am…

Chip and Jo’s latest project… a castle refurbish/restoration? Sign me up! Joanna gives some background on this here.

It’s been a hot minute since I’ve stenciled anything, but this project shared by @royalstencils has me itching to dive in!

So it’s those kinds of things — interiors, design, and sometimes just pure inspiration! Fun, no?

I’ll be back this week with some recent reads and — hopefully– a fully fleshed out post on my Word of the Year. It’s a GOOD ONE! Happy 2020 y’all, and please tell me — what’s catching YOUR eye these days?

xo Heidi
