Hello, friends! I’m knee-deep in back to school for my crew this week, so it’s been lame here and I apologize. My daughter is moving into an apartment this year, so every spare minute has been painting furniture for her space and shopping for deals for her. Last minute much??
Anyhoo, I’m sharing a project I completed before we left for the beach. I scored these four chairs at a big garage sale last fall.
I knew I wanted to freshen them up, but it took a while to decide what to do. If you follow me on Instagram, you saw an inspiration pic I posted from the cover of my July devotional magazine, Journey. (Do you read Journey?? It’s part of my daily routine and I looooovvve it.)
So I got to work…
Eeek!!! I love how these turned out!
Two coats of Annie Sloan Provence chalk paint, light distressing, and a coat of clear wax is all it took. I was a little concerned about the amount of time it would all take, but after the initial coat of paint, it went pretty quickly for all four chairs.
Here they are in my booth space…
The seats of two of these are somewhat worn, but they still sit comfortably and have a lot of wear left in them. They’re priced to sell, so if you’re local come by my booth ReMade Home Designs in the Marietta Queen of Hearts Antiques and Interiors. I’m on East Bay Street. These would be so cute to refresh your breakfast area, don’t you think?
Off to Athens tomorrow for the big move-in day! Onward!
Enjoy your Friday…
Those are great, Heidi!
Very Cute, provence is one of my favorites!
that color was so perfect on them! love the color with the natural seat!
So pretty. I love this color and the chairs turned out great. Good job! 🙂
My daughter who is in the process of redoing her room to a light version of all these aqua and blue hues, has a ladder back cane seat chair begging for this color.
