When it comes to holiday decorating, I don’t think I’ve ever done the same thing twice {which is totally in keeping with my Decorating ADD by the way}. If it weren’t for photos, I’d never know what I’d done the year before, to be honest. 🙂 I’m still tweaking my decor for this year — boxes and bins all over the place, I confess, but I haven’t hit it just right yet. In fact, I have to live with it for a day or so before I can decide if it’s right.
Anyway, I intended to show you my holiday decor, but it’ll have to wait a few more days, because I’m still tweaking. Instead, I thought I’d share a few holiday decorating ideas I posted about last year, all using gift wrap and ribbon. I mean, you have that on hand anyway, right?
I love this garland of gifts over the kitchen sink… so fresh and cute! Small-ish empty boxes, bright ribbon and a length of twine threaded through the ribbons.
Um, yes, please! Lanterns and candles, greenery, and some large-ish wrapped boxes. Easy enough?
More gift-wrap scraps and festive ribbons adorning square vases? Easy peasy!!
What I love about these projects is you can use what you already have! AND you can customize them to coordinate with your existing decor… no need to have a red and green explosion (unless, of course, you WANT a red and green explosion!).
Super simple, inexpensive… my kinda decorating. Now, speaking of… I must go tweak some more. 🙂

Sharing the decorating love…
So many fun things to do with wrapping paper. I wrapped some picture frames this year. Simple paper, but the festive holiday decs just weren’t jiving with my giant floral print so I covered it. The little present garland is too cute.
I always do wrapped gifts on the porch propped against an old wooden sled I’ve had for years. Now I want to do more wrapping of empty boxes! LOVE the garland over the sink. Cute!
