You all know I’m a shelter mag junkie and I’m sure many of you are as well.Β One of my favorite inspirations for sophisticated design inspiration is Traditional Home and the July/August issue did not disappoint.Β While I was trying not to throw up laid up with that stomach bug last week, I had a chance to dig into my copy and immediately fell in love with the East Hampton cottage of Patricia and Jeffrey Fisher.
Does this speak to you?

I love the shingles and the grass right up to the bricks around the pool… something so inviting about it!
And then there’s this amazingly serene living space…

Just the right light and bright color scheme, neutral upholstery, warm wood tones. And could I please have that female Swedish grandfather clock in the corner? Please? It would look stellar in my newly painted dining room!
And I love this intimate little set up at one end of the dining room… for when it’s just the two of them…

And another glorious Swedish grandfather clock? And more gorgeous Swedish finishes? I love that her painter was eventually asking her if she wanted him to “Swedish up” pieces of furniture!
And this bathroom had me at tongue-in-groove ceiling…

Sigh! I love that stack of books beside the chair … going to need to remember that one for future photos. π

Gorgeous home. The outdoors are wonderful. Love that cozy open porch…
I “really” need to break out a new can of paint for my dark & dreary rooms! And LOVE the chair in the bathroom too!
