I love tweaking. And what better time to tweak than spring? As I’m starting to see all the Mantle linky parties out there in the blogosphere, I thought I’d better get on mine.
So here was my winter mantle (that I loooooovvvveed)…
And here is my update for spring…
I know… not a dramatic change, but I just couldn’t part with my antique frame propped on my mirror or my new French sheet music candles… so I just added a few touches.
These sweet little birds I scored from WUSLU…
My two birch bunnies I snagged from Coldwater Creek (of all places! Don’t judge me…).
A mini lantern with a small nest and eggs. As the weather gets a little warmer, I’ll add some more greenery. Right now, I’ve settled for my silver pitcher (in need of polishing but I kinda like the tarnished look up there) and some dried hydrangeas.
So here it is again…
I’m loving the subtle approach right now, how about you? And just for fun, this photo is sporting a Willow House piece or two… can you spot ’em?
Sharing here…
Happy Hunting!
Love the sophisticated spring look you have going on here. That mirror is such a statement piece! I adore it.
Heidi, It looks GORGEOUS!! And, I am loving those Coldwater Creek bunnies!! Are they this year? I think I want them. <3
Thanks for stopping by my blog, and leaving your sweet comment!

I totally understand why you didn’t want to change your mantel to much…the basics are perfect the way they are…and your additions are just the right touch. I love it!
I can’t wait to go back and look through some of your archives!

Your mantel looks Beautiful! I love you bunny!
I do that too… you love something and have to keep it out.
Well, it looks perfectly Springy 😉 The bunnies and other touches are subtle and beautiful. Thanks for linking up your elegant mantel.
Oh my goodness, your mirror and frame are beautiful together! I wouldn’t have taken them down either! My silver pitcher looks the same! 🙂
Wonderful blog! I’m so happy to have found it. I’m here from Kim’s party and I’m a new follower. Pop by for a visit sometime.

Those are some fantastic tweaks and it immediately takes the mantel from classic to springtastic!
I love your mantel…those WUSLU birdies are so sweet (I am addicted to Wuslu!) and those candles are lovely too…great job on it all!
Following you!
Blessings, Grace
This is so lovely… I like all the individual pieces, but the finished product is just amazing.
I’m in love with the bunnies! I’m also looking forward to “springing out” my (cork) candle I bought at your last WH sale!
I really love how you layered your mantel..I love the texture and “reflection”..Such an exquisite vignette!
I think just the right changes! Perfectly attuned to Spring and the Easter celebration. Things don’t have to be ostentatious in order to have impact; things do not have to be ripped out and started all over again from scratch in order to “do” good decorating! I love your Spring Mantle.
The mantel looks great. It is inspiring to me that you added or changed out a few key pieces to make the change from Winter to Spring. I love the pieces that stayed too…the sconces, the mirror, the candle sticks. When you start with a great foundation, as you have, there’s no need to reinvent the wheel with the changing of each season.
