Good morning, friends. Before I share this simple DIY, could I just ask for your prayers? I’m greeting this last week of school before the holiday break with a heavy heart. Troubling news of loss, illness, and setbacks has come our way from a variety of fronts and we are feeling overwhelmed with the pain, suffering, and struggles of those close to us and our own helplessness. My prayer list is lengthy these days…
Last weekend, we were on the road AGAIN — this time for a wedding. It was a quick trip due to all my to-do’s at home. My front porch is finally decorated, the big kids decorated the tree, and I’ve gotten one box in the mail with more to follow today. How’s your to-do list looking?
Today I’m sharing an easy recycling project using some faded old vase fillers I had in my decorating stash…
I love the look of grapevine balls on Christmas trees, but these were pretty sad looking. So I gave them a quick coat of white spray paint on top only…
I wanted them to look a little “frosty”. Then I used spray adhesive on the tops and sprinkled them with epsom salt.
Once they were dry, I knocked off the excess epsom salt and added bakers twine.
I’m not sure the Epsom salt will hold up but we’ll see! I’m thinking a coat of mod podge rather than the spray adhesive might be longer lasting.
But they sure look pretty on the tree and I saved those old vase fillers from the landfill. Success!
I hope you have a blessed Monday… onward!

Heidi, Heavenly Father In the Name of Jesus, you know the needs of Heidi and her family. Lord I pray for strength, comfort, and may Your Presence surround them now and through the Christmas Season as we Celebrate Your Son Jesus Christ. Amen

Praying for you Heidi!
Sending all my prayers your way!! Love those ornaments.
Great idea, Heidi! Those look great!
I am so sorry you have a heavy heart. I am lifting you up in prayer right now.
I pray you are filled with peace that passes all understanding.
I decorated some wine bottles to look frosty and I used spray adhesive, then rolled them in Epsom salt, then sealed it with a layer of spray mod podge. They still came off a bit, but it helped a ton!
Thinking of you and hoping things get better!
