It’s a Cinch!! Chalkboard Flower Buckets

Chalkboard Flower BucketThis has GOT to be the easiest project I’ve tackled in a while…

I spied these flower buckets in the dollar section at Target.  There were only two left so I, of course, snagged them both.   I was thinking I’d love to dress them up to put in my booth… or not. 🙂

I dug out my chalkboard paint and some stencils from my scrapbooking days.  I’m thinking “chalkboard labels”, ripe for any message.

I used painters tape to secure the stencils, but it was still kinda tricky keeping the stencil pressed against the metal (just kinda– this is an easy peasy project, remember?).

I did one oval and one rectangular “label”… a little touch-up was required.

And here’s the finished product!  I’m thinking these would make great teacher gifts or Mother’s Day gifts, especially filled with a bouquet of fresh blooms.

Choose your message… Happy Birthday, Thank You, BFF… endless possibilities!  Project time total was 1 hour and 15 minutes, with the 1 hour being drying time.    Is that a cinch or what??

  9. Heidi what a great idea. I have never used chalkboard paint. But this is inspired. I could do this with my herb pots. P.S. I hope you will post this on today’s Thursday Favorite Things blog Hop. xo

  11. My flowers need more encouragement than “grow” so if I make some of these I will put “grow… dammit”.
