Oh, well. My back-to-school schedule will soon severely curtail my thrifting, so I was guilt -free when I hit an outdoor flea market with my friend and booth partner Michelle on Friday. The onslaught of check-writing has already begun (those of you with school age children know of what I speak!), so funds were limited, but I scored some super fun deals anyway. 🙂
Paint projects galore!! And check out those wooden mill bobbins. I have no idea what I’ll do with them, but they are way cool and will be a fun texture addition to my home or the booth. The little baby book is actually a cloth book. I’m so in love with the illustrations!
How cute are these?
I’m seeing these pages mod-podged onto canvases for nursery decor. How about you?
The skies opened up on us after a couple of hours, so we headed across the street to the thrift store and I once again scored a deal on lampshades. 🙂
Yep, still in the packages — $6 for the pair. 🙂
I’m envisioning this project for these…

My home or the booth? That’s the question. But for $3 a piece, I don’t think I can go wrong either way.
We have a busy week ahead, getting the boys ready for school starting and my daughter back to UGA, but I’m hoping to wrap up a few projects this week, too. Lofty goals! Wish me luck. 🙂
How about you? Are y’all back in school yet? Any thrifty treasures of your own lately?

that little book is the sweetest!
We made it to a bunch of summer events, including the State Fair, but not a single thing got done around the house. Whoops! Nice finds by the way.
My girls are still at camp and don’t go back to school til after Labor day!
Always time for thrifting (even if I have to drag them along, kicking and screaming)!!
Great finds – love that yarn wrapped lampshade – can’t wait to see your version!

Ohhhh, love the idea for the lamp shades! We did a bit-o-thrifting this weekend ourselves. Always a good time!

Wow, you just keep finding more awesome stuff! Those lampshades will look great with some twine! 🙂
Great bargains!!…the maple table looks very similar to a floor lamp I used to have a zillion years ago!
Great finds! My kids will start school at the end of the month. Haven’t had a chance to go thrifty shopping lately, but looking forward to it!!
looks like you found some goodies!
Great Finds…love the super price on the shades and how you will re-purpose them, also the children’s books…you’ve given me an idea on how to reuse them. Great post! Have a wonderful week!
I head to the states on Friday and Goodwill and a local auction house are on our to do list. 🙂 Such great finds…are those spindles in the pic legs for something? I LOVE the book pages on canvas as nursery decor idea. Brilliant!
You’re making me get the thrift-store-itch, Heidi!
Stopped by a favorite thrift store yesterday and bought a chinoiserie style queen size headboard…perfect for my guest room bed! Love the thrill of the hunt and the thrill of the SCORE!!
