Passing It On…

Hi gang!  Today I’m posting over at Fancy Little Things about “green decorating” so I hope you’ll pop over and say hello!

Remember this?

Well, I bundled with love the second canvas from KariAnne…

And sent it across the country to a gal who has blessed me immeasurably in the past year.

I “met” her almost exactly a year ago when she won a Willow House giveaway on my blog.  We struck up an online friendship and she invited me to guest post at a new website she was launching called Fancy Little Things.   I became further acquainted with her work designing websites for small businesses and was so impressed with her creativity, energy, and passion for entrepreneurship.  When I won a giveaway on her website for a WordPress site and domain name of my own, we began collaborating on Decor & More.  She was so encouraging, endlessly patient with this forty-something-not-so-tech-savvy blogger, and endearing that the birth of this website was pure pleasure.  Exhilarating, in fact, to watch her bring my ideas to life.  I missed our phone conversations and several-times-a-day email exchanges when all was said and done.

A few weeks back, my dear friend was struggling.  We all have tough times in our lives, but it broke my heart to know this incredibly loving wife, devoted mommy of two precious little ones, hard-working cheerleader of women business owners, and encouraging friend to so many was suffering.  I knew in that moment that my extra kindness from KariAnne would go to her.  I didn’t even know what form that kindness from KariAnne would take.  I just knew how I wanted to pass it on.

And so it travelled out to California to my sweet friend, Aimee.

Meet Aimee, of byAimee.com and Fancy Little Things.  You can get to know her HERE and HERE as well as see examples of the incredible work she does!

I have been blessed by her encouragement and support.  You see her beautiful work everytime you visit Decor & More.  She is most deserving of this tiny slice of kindness… and much more.

Pass on some kindness today, friends!
