Rainy Monday…

It's a rainy Monday in Georgia and I'm digging out from under a fabulous weekend at the lake with my husband. :-)  Nice problem to have, no? I have some fun posts coming your way about life at the lake and today you get a sneak peek.  I also got a little motivated when I downloaded all my photos to give PicMonkey a try.   The collages are a great way to share LOTS of photos (and I have LOTS to share!). Back with more tomorrow! … [Read more...]

Memorial Day Plans…

It's looking like a weekend filled with celebrations and friends with a little of this thrown in... relaxing and enjoying lake views, that is... maybe enjoying this...   Source: cupcakesandcashmere.com via Heidi on Pinterest   Or a table set like this... Shopping on Saturday & Some Thrifty Finds

We had a gangbusters weekend around here, working on my To-Do List, celebrating a few graduations, church, and prepping for my last week with the Little Ones.   Whew!  But I managed to squeeze in a quick trip to the Junk Day at Woodstock Antique Market on a quest for things for the booth and a fly-by of one of my favorite home decor stores, Casabella's. It was for sure a case of "the early bird gets the worm" at Junk Day... Those frames … [Read more...]

April’s Favorite Things

Can you believe April has come and almost gone?  Time just keeps ticking away... I confess I'm looking forward to the end of school for myself and my kids (though I will miss my Little Ones terribly!).  We're ready for some down time around here! It's been a difficult month for us, but I spent some time over the weekend thinking about all the things I loved about April.  A great exercise during hard times... 1.  My … [Read more...]

Daydreaming {Country Living Inspiration}

I can't believe it took me so long to discover Country Living magazine.  Back in January when I was organizing my inspiration binder, I was amazed by how many images I'd pulled out of my Country Living magazines (and by how many issues I had paid retail for -- duh!).  Time to subscribe, no? This past couple of weeks while I was largely unplugged, I spent a little time catching up on my shelter magazines.  Do yours ever pile up on you? When … [Read more...]

Healing

I'm not going to lie ~ it felt good to unplug just a bit. Much as I love and appreciate you all, I just haven't had anything good to share the past week. The kids and I circled the wagons. My oldest son travelled to the funeral with his dad, read a poem, read scripture from some font of strength for the 2000 people that gathered to mourn sweet Kaely Camacho.  I watched him become a man this week. I loved on my own 13 year old, who's … [Read more...]

Passing It On…

Hi gang!  Today I'm posting over at Fancy Little Things about "green decorating" so I hope you'll pop over and say hello! Remember this? Well, I bundled with love the second canvas from KariAnne... And sent it across the country to a gal who has blessed me immeasurably in the past year. I "met" her almost exactly a year ago when she won a Willow House giveaway on my blog.  We struck up an online friendship and she invited me … [Read more...]

Monday, Monday {Spreading Some Liebster Love}

Monday again!  How did that happen? This is what I saw yesterday morning, with the sun streaming into our family room... I love how you can see the bubbles in the glass projected on the wall.  By the way, this demijohn is a Willow House product, our Lady Jane Bottleneck vase, available HERE.  I love mine. Last week, I had the happy surprise of being awarded this... Sweet Lisa of Budget Design Girl passed this honor on to me!!  … [Read more...]

March’s Favorite Things

It's so hard for me to believe we're at the end of March (do I sound like a broken record?)!  We're entering that crazy time of year that reeks of madness... the fun kind of course. If you're a mom with kids in school, you might as well tether your calendar to your waist and fire up the checkbook.  It's year-end this and year-end that headed your way before you know it. :) I've got some AWESOME favorites from March, so rather than wait until … [Read more...]
