I cannot believe it's already November! It seems like time just speeds up from year to year, doesn't it? Well, at least I got back on a semi-regular posting schedule. :) So just in case you've missed something from the last couple of months... I caught you up on my life lately back in September -- which was a whole lotta Legacy and getting my kiddos off and running on new adventures. You wouldn't believe how much those sweet peas in … [Read more...]
Country Living Fair Bound!
Happy Friday, friends... it's been a busy week and I'm headed to the fair today -- the Country Living Fair, that is! I'm so excited to get some inspiration and hopefully get a head start on some holiday shopping! Last year I scored quite a few unique things so I have high hopes for this year as well. I've made some more progress on my porch, so hopefully will be ready to share that soon. I've taken the pressure off though because I know the … [Read more...]
Inspiring Thanksgiving Table Decor
It's almost here! We're on the road today, headed for my in-laws' to celebrate a quick Thanksgiving... it's no small feat to gather 4 20-somethings and a teenager with work/school schedules but we managed! I think we'll all be together for about 3 hours before some have to head out (and others are arriving last minute) but we'll take it. My mother-in-law hosts Thanksgiving every year... it's kind of her "thing" and so we make the drive … [Read more...]
Country Living Fair 2015
Well, that weekend flew by, but we had such a great time with our out-of-town friends! Sandy and I took in the Country Living Fair on Saturday and made a day of it. The weather was perfect -- overcast and mild -- for strolling between the vendors, enjoying some music and good food, and shopping like crazy. One of things I love about the CL Fair is that I always come away inspired! The Country Living folks and all of the vendors do such an … [Read more...]
Set the Table for a Christmas Coffee (and a Rug Giveaway!)
Much as I enjoy a festive evening party, one of my favorite ways to celebrate the season with close friends is a Christmas Coffee. I used to do this in conjunction with my Willow House business, but the simple formula works even better for a cozy get-together with a close pal or two. And ever since I spotted some adorable Christmas plates and mugs at Tuesday Morning, I've been itching to pull together a Christmas Coffee tablescape to share with … [Read more...]
Easy Harvest Centerpiece
Well, while spending most of the weekend on and off the couch, I managed to photograph my simple harvest centerpiece to share with y'all. In the nick of time for this rapidly approaching Thanksgiving holiday! We spend every Thanksgiving at my mother-in-law's, so I don't do a big tablescape in my home. But these sweet pheasants were beckoning this year, so I decided a simple kitchen table centerpiece was in order. :) I used things I … [Read more...]
Thanksgiving Table Inspiration
Howdy-hoo, y'all... SO thankful that I made it to the end of the week! I got major fun stuff happening this weekend, so I hope I can muster up the energy to be fully in each moment! After confessing my desire to create a harvest tablescape, thanks to my new feathered friends, I decided to gather up some inspiration. I don't do a lot of tablescapes, so it was fun to see what was catching my eye on the old world wide web. :) Enjoy the eye … [Read more...]
Country Living Fair 2013
Y'all. What a great - busy fun - weekend we had! Some long time friends came in town and the girls spent Saturday taking in the Country Living Fair at Stone Mountain! Let me just say, if you ever get the chance to take this in... DO IT! We were blessed with a beautiful day and were amazed at the scope of this event! If this tower of pumpkins and gourds doesn't put you in the fall spirit, I don't know what will! If you … [Read more...]
DIY Burlap Moss Vases {a Dollar Store Project}
I love the Dollar Store. A brand new one just opened up near my house and I could get lost finding great deals in there. It was my first stop when I was preparing for my preschool Moms' Tea -- on the hunt for those simple glass cylinder vases. I had a vision for this project... These were a big hit with my moms, especially since three of them got to take one home. :) Here's the how-to! Supplies you'll need: glass cylinder … [Read more...]
