Sandy’s Summer Corn Salad

Hi there, friends! I had an interesting week last week and didn't accomplish everything I'd hoped, but such is life, right? We're headed into another week of Summer Camp at Legacy, so I'm getting organized for that and trying to rest up a bit today. :) I did want to pop in and share a new summer recipe that we're obsessed with these days -- courtesy of my friend Sandy! She served this over the 4th of July and we loved the crisp freshness and … [Read more...]

Easy Sweet Treat: Cinnamon Crunch Bits

TGIF, friends!  Valentine's weekend is upon us and the hubs and I will be joining friends down south for a fun couples' weekend.  I always like to bring a treat to my host and hostess, so this week I whipped up a yummy sweet that I've had to hide from the kids. :) Here's what you need: 12 cinnamon graham crackers 2 cups chopped nuts (we love pecans but walnuts are good too!) 1 cup butter 1 cup brown sugar, packed 1/2 tsp ground … [Read more...]

Five on Friday: Favorite Super Bowl Eats

Remember the days when the Super Bowl was played in January?   Not sure why that crossed my mind recently, but it did!  In our house the Super Bowl is sort of the last hurrah of football season and marks the beginning of a dearth of sports viewing pleasure... until Opening Day for baseball.  Unless you count some exciting March Madness games.  You can see where our priorities lay around here #housefullofboys. So Super Bowl 50 is upon us and … [Read more...]

Feed A Crowd: Easy Baked Spaghetti

Thanksgiving week!!  Yikes, so much to do... our family has been going 90 to nothing and my to-do list is a long one.  We're traveling for Turkey Day, but will be back for the weekend and I fully intend to get my Christmas on then -- unless I get a wild hare and start now?? One of the challenges for me this time of year is feeding my crowd without breaking the bank or spending hours in the kitchen. Because there's always a shortage of time and … [Read more...]

In Case You Missed It {July and August}

Well, here we are!  The last day of August... how did that happen??  This was a summer of sporadic posting, some story-telling, and a few technical issues here on the blog that I'm still trying to figure out.  May be time to call in a professional! #ugh Today I'm going to recap my posts from July and August... just in case you missed something!
