DIY Chevron Deer Head Wall Decor

Well, THAT title is a mouthful, isn't it!?  Happy Friday, y'all!  Today I'm sharing a fun new project that has me swooning and ready to deck the halls... well, sorta.  What I love about this is that you could use it year round in your decor.  Think "rustic chic" for holiday and everyday. :) I spotted these unfinished wood deer heads online at Unfinished Wood Company.  If you haven't heard of them, click immediately over to their website.  … [Read more...]

A Peek at My Booth…

Hi everyone!  I hope you all took the time to get out and VOTE yesterday!  Here in ATL, our schools were closed for the day so I got a bonus day at home to get some things done after voting... and if you follow me on Instagram, you saw I ended up shoe shopping, too.  Oops. ;-) #sorrynotsorry I ended up with some to. die. for. smokey taupe wedges.  Thank goodness for a BFF that was available by text to seal the deal. :) And how did we ever shop … [Read more...]

In Case You Missed it: October

Oh my goodness.  November, y'all.   Over the weekend, I had to turn my heat on and we enjoyed our first fire of the season... well, the boys and I did anyway.  The hubs was off to enjoy his first weekend of hunting season.  So I got my craft on in a huge way and got my booth all squared away for our Holiday Open House later this week!  I'll share pics on Wednesday, but for today I'm recapping a very busy October.  Just in case you missed it. I … [Read more...]

Five on Friday

Holy smokes, y'all... tomorrow is November!    Yowza!  If you follow me on Instagram, you know I had a busy week with the Little Ones -- Halloween is so much fun for them I always feel like I'm along for their ride, at least for a couple of days. :) Anyway, I enjoyed sharing a little randomness last Friday, so I'm thinking every so often I'll offer up a Five on Friday post, just for fun.   I've been back on my painting and DIY'ing horse this … [Read more...]

Country Living Fair 2014

Y'all.  What a beautiful fall weekend we had for the Country Living Fair!   It was just a fabulous and fun time all the way around.   I had a sweet friend from out of town that joined me and I also got to meet up with local blogging friends and Country Living folks!  I tried to snap pics of what was fun and catching my eye... Of course, our first stop was Cari's booth... that's her husband painting a piece with her new line of paints!  I … [Read more...]

An Easy {Free!} Patriotic Watercolor

Somehow I've misplaced my adorable Burlap Flag banner that I made last year, so I needed to come up with a quick 4th of July touch for my mantel.  Waterlogue to the rescue! Surely you've heard of Waterlogue by now... I haven't used it in a while, but this was the perfect easy peasy solution to my needs. A few weeks ago, I snapped this photo while we were up at the lake... Since it was on my phone, I ran it through the Waterlogue app … [Read more...]

In Case You Missed It (June)

This summer is absolutely flying by!  I turned the calendar over to July this morning and it looks to be another busy month of family, a little travel, and hopefully some good projects around the house.  I also looked back over my posts in June and though it was lighter posting schedule there were some goodies in there! I shared some of my favorite catalog finds for outdoors... Still love this stepping stone from Home Decorators … [Read more...]

In Case You Missed It x2 (April and May)

Y'all I'm so far behind, I never recapped April!  And since my feed was doing wonky things in late April/early May, I figured it warranted a quick recap of both months! I finally was able to regroup a bit after the crowd of young adults left on Saturday... things will be a tad quieter here now, so I've been working on some new DIY ideas and gathering supplies for a couple of home projects (yay summertime!).  But before we embark on June, let's … [Read more...]

This ‘n That Tuesday

My school year is rapidly drawing to a close (how did THAT happen??!) and soon I'll be welcoming both the college one and our oldest back into the fold -- busy times afoot around here!  And I lost a little ground battling that nasty head cold last week and through much of my weekend. Hence, this post. :) During my latest thrifting adventure, I stumbled on these old alphabet flash cards.   A couple of the cards were missing, but I thought … [Read more...]

DIY Chalk Paint Easter Eggs

Happy Monday, friends... getting back in the swing of things today -- and of course, it's a rainy one.  Boo. We enjoyed a pretty awesome weekend, including celebrating this lovely gal's 21st birthday!! She's becoming such an incredible young woman... we're so very proud of her!  Excellent grades, strong work ethic, an even stronger sense of self and fairness, and a love of family and the Lord.  I give Him (and her!) all the glory … [Read more...]
