Five on Friday

Holy smokes, y'all... tomorrow is November!    Yowza!  If you follow me on Instagram, you know I had a busy week with the Little Ones -- Halloween is so much fun for them I always feel like I'm along for their ride, at least for a couple of days. :) Anyway, I enjoyed sharing a little randomness last Friday, so I'm thinking every so often I'll offer up a Five on Friday post, just for fun.   I've been back on my painting and DIY'ing horse this … [Read more...]

Country Living Fair 2014

Y'all.  What a beautiful fall weekend we had for the Country Living Fair!   It was just a fabulous and fun time all the way around.   I had a sweet friend from out of town that joined me and I also got to meet up with local blogging friends and Country Living folks!  I tried to snap pics of what was fun and catching my eye... Of course, our first stop was Cari's booth... that's her husband painting a piece with her new line of paints!  I … [Read more...]

DIY Wood Pallet Projects {Inspiration Galore!}

OCTOBER!!  I can't even ... what the heck happened to September?!  Oh my...  We're still having 80+ degree days here, but the mornings are cooler and the humidity not quite so high, so I know fall is creeping in.  I'm ready! I've got a list of projects I want to do a mile long and not enough hours in the day, but it's fun to gather inspiration for when I DO have time to immerse in a good DIY.  I'm so fortunate to know so many talented DIY … [Read more...]

Shopping Around: Linden

If you follow me on Instagram, you know I got started on a furniture painting project last week... and wouldn't you know it, I ran out of my clear wax halfway through.    I wasn't comfortable switching to a different wax half way though a project.  So I had to track down a local Annie Sloan stockist and that was not easy, even here in Atlanta! This turned into one of those "happy accidents" because in finding an Annie Sloan stockist I … [Read more...]

What I’m Reading, Working on, and Loving…

We had a soggy weekend here... Not a total washout, but my hopes of getting poolside were dashed by the to do list and off and on storms and showers. The upside? I got my DIY back on and finished a book. Among other productive things like back to school stuff and getting the college kids somewhat situated. So today's a great day to share some snippets of what's going on... I just finished Save the Date by Mary Kay Andrews. She's become one … [Read more...]

This ‘n That Thursday

Well, I unintentionally went MIA for a week! There was lots of doings but I couldn't quite sit down to share until now... hope you don't mind! Last week, I was consumed with doing something I have never ever done. At least not for myself. I bought a car. My 14 year old Expedition is on it's last legs, and after about two years of knowing this day was coming, it was time to make a change. And I agonized. Y'all. I did research and drove … [Read more...]

I Can’t Resist… This Table {Dot & Bo}

Howdy - hoo, Tuesday!  I'm battling another (hopefully LAST) head cold of the school year, so I didn't get this up yesterday.  Boo. Oh well... I hope you all had a blessed Easter Sunday!  I spent the weekend with friends and my peeps and while I'm sick again, my soul got recharged in a big way.  #loveitwhenthathappens I just love discovering new sites, especially of the decor variety. :)  A few weeks ago I stumbled upon Dot and Bo and decided … [Read more...]

Sponsor Spot Light: Shop Small Saturday!

It's no secret I'm a fan of small businesses... after all, I AM one!  And I'm so pleased that all of my sponsors here on Decor & More are small businesses, too. Did you know small businesses provide 55% of all jobs and 66% of NEW jobs since 1970 (   They have a direct impact on the economic health of our communities and I feel we all have a responsibility to support them. Now, don't get me wrong... I love a good sale, and it's … [Read more...]
