It all started with this... Fabulous blue houndstooth gift wrap. I knew it would turn up in my guest room makeover, but I wasn't sure how at first. Achieving the overhead lighting I wanted for my Ugly Duckling Dining Room was by far the most challenging part of this room makeover. Did you realize there is no ceiling light fixture in my ugly duckling dining room? Several years ago, I had an electrician look at this problem and we discovered there is no wiring in the ceiling of this room. I thought I would clean up the brass using Brasso, but when I got to cleaning and polishing, I noticed that several of the glass inserts were cracked in the corners and two flat out broke while I was working!
